Boombrush was founded in 2019 by Elias van der Linden and Roland Verbeek, after they met in a project by Prototribe, Elias' first company. After the first building blocks of the company were laid in 2020, the team was significantly expanded and the operation was professionalized and further scaled up.
Elias and Kim had the opportunity to pitch for the Dragons together in 2021. Together, they convinced Pieter Schoen and Michel Perrdion to invest 650K in Boombrush. Watch the episode on Youtube.

In mid-2022, Roland and Elias raised 2 million in growth money from Thomas Ritrae, dental entrepreneur and owner of Lassus dentists with more than 30 practices. The growth money would focus on the development of a program where the Boombrushes can be found in all Lassus locations. A new CEO was also appointed for this purpose. In order to be able to focus again on scaling up E-commerce brands, Elias leaves Boombrush after a few months. He first continued under the name Ecom Elias and later founded Catalyzed.
